OPAC Portal
The Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) allows you to search and locate physical books and materials available on our shelves before you visit.
How to use:
- Click the OPAC link to launch the search interface.
- Search by Title, Author, or Subject keywords.
- Note the **Call Number** and availability status.
- Present the call number to the librarian at the desk.
Koha E-Library
Koha is our integrated digital library management system granting you access to e-books, journals, and your personal borrowing history.
How to access:
- Ensure you are registered at the circulation desk.
- Username: Your Admission Number (e.g., ADM1234).
- Password: Provided during your library induction.
- Use Koha to renew books or reserve items remotely.
Membership & Registration
All bonafide students and staff of Thika TTI are eligible for library membership. Membership is a prerequisite for utilizing most library services, including borrowing privileges.
Requirements for Registration:
- A valid Thika TTI Student/Staff ID card.
- Current semester admission letter or fee receipt (for students).
- Completed Library Registration Form (available at the desk).
Borrowing Policies
- Undergraduates/Diploma Students: Maximum 2 books for 14 days.
- Certificate Students: Maximum 2 books for 7 days.
- Teaching Staff: Maximum 4 books for 1 month.
- Overdue Fines: Ksh 10.00 per book, per day. Long overdue items may result in account suspension.
- Lost Items: Borrowers must replace lost items with identical copies or pay 1.5x the current market value.
