The Agricultural and Environmental Studies Department, offers variety of courses and activities, which allow students to gain skills in agriculture, environmental science and technology, entrepreneurial Agriculture and Agribusiness, for the production, processing, management and marketing of agricultural commodities. The curriculum offers a one term attachment in the industrial field to ensure the students are fully exposed and this attachment is assessed by the teaching staff from the department.

The department offers sciences courses that prepare graduates to secure gainful employment in laboratories within industries, scientific research, educational institutions and to produce technicians to work safely and efficiently in any chemical plant which benefits the future of our trainees and the society at large.

The department endeavors to provide quality technical training in the production of qualified Technicians and Technologists, for the ever-dynamic building and construction Industry. The Department is one of the most extensive with a variety of courses and activities, with relevant practical experiences which serves to expose the students to real work scenarios and environments. Our students have excelled in both class work and practical’s making them marketable in the job market, registering above 60% pass in Examination results.

The objective of the department is to empower our trainees to become self-reliant through impacting entrepreneurial skills and make them successful in their career paths in the following fields: Accounting, Procurement, Sales and Marketing, Human Resource Management and Business fields.

It covers a wide range of sub-fields including electronics, digital computers, power engineering, telecommunications, control systems, RF engineering, and signal processing. In electronic engineering, we deal with non-linear and active electrical components such as electron tubes, and semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, are utilized to design electronic circuits, devices and systems, typically also including passive electrical components and based on printed circuit boards.

The department offers in-depth content in Information Communication Technology and Information Science that spans a wide range, from theoretical to practical fundamental areas in ICT for Development, green technologies, Research and innovation and academics to meet the growing needs for ICT and information science personnel in all sectors.

The Liberal Studies Department was started in the year 2005 with a pioneer class of 14 students and three trainers. The Department has since grown to offer five courses with a total of 478 Students and 32 Trainers. The Department has continued to produce the best results in KNEC Exams, with the latest results (July 2022 KNEC Exam Series) having 53 students getting Distinctions.

Mechanical Engineering department consist of three sections Automotive, Agricultural Engineering and Mechanical section and a driving school . It’s a center of excellence in both Mechanical and Auto body building in the region as well as in the country of Government of Kenya Africa Development bank and GiZ.it also has a driving school.

This Department offers students off campus flexible learning opportunities by overcoming separation of teacher and learner using a variety of media, which includes: Digital print, electronic, online and occasional interactive face-to-face meetings with the various subject trainers. The department prepares students undertaking various courses allowing them to book and sit for various examinations online as well as on campus. Through the Learning Management Portal, students, both regular students and distance learning students are able to access classes conducted online, and even sit for the continuous assessment tests and examinations online.
